i wanted to share with you one of my favorite days in philly - my mom was visiting for the week and after volunteering, we went and picked up federal donuts aka the best donuts ever.
my friend sarah had tipped me off to how good they were but i hadn’t tried them prior to my mom visiting because i’m not the biggest on sweets and truly didn’t eat takeout much while i was there. needless to say my mom and i ordered one.. then half a dozen.. and ended up probably getting two dozen donuts within two days to share them with everyone - they are that good.
our favorites were the blood orange, apple crisp, and mississippi mud. they switch them out a lot so any flavor you get will probably be really yummy.
i picked up a dozen for my friend amanda when she came and visited as well and she was dyinggggg over them. so now we have french toast bagels in new york and federal donuts in philly - cute little traditions.
my bag is by the cambridge satchel and is their 11” version.. it is the best for travel because it snaps shut (rather than having to do the buckle every time). if you are anything like me, your bag is a free for all and you never zip or close it at all, which means things can get lost easy when you’re traveling or walking and moving around a lot. i used this bag a ton in philly and love how lightweight and hands free it is. and it comes in a ton of colors.. seriously name a color and they have it.

- pj clarke’s - also has good salads
- the franklin fountain - the best ice cream ever, you can thank me later.
- menagerie coffee - i still go to the starbucks on arch and third by default because they are the nicest people EVER but i went here with erika and it was super cute.
let’s talk about the beanie.
my mom made this :) her beanies are the best and she has made a ton of them for me and my friends. she hand knits these and attaches the pom and yes they are faux fur.. no real fur ever,
