Best Socks to Wear with Doc Martens
Doc Martens are a classic boot you’ll have forever, but breaking them in (and avoiding blisters) feels like such an annoying, time-intensive process. It got to the point where I avoided wearing my Docs because I hated the inevitable blisters, no matter what socks I wore.
After lots of trial, error, blisters, and band aids, I finally found a style of socks that fit comfortably but weren’t too thick, helped me break in my Docs, didn’t show, and I’ve never gotten a blister since I started wearing them. They provide coverage while still being no-show, so whether you want something for everyday wear or to make the breaking-in process easier (and less painful), these socks are the perfect choice.

These are the best socks to wear with your Docs, hands down. They’re breathable so you can wear them even in the summer, the crew fit doesn’t slouch or lose its elasticity after you wash them, and they hit at the perfect level to still be no-show when I wear my Jadon 8s.
They’re super cheap (less than $15) on Amazon, and come in white, black, or grey. I prefer the black because I sometimes get black transfer marks on the lighter pair when I wear them (from shoe to sock; they don’t stain your Docs), but the lighter pairs are still just as good. The brand also makes a higher, slouchier fit if you want the sock to poke through a bit (like if you style them with dresses), but the crew version is perfect for everyday wear.
These socks helped me finally break my Docs in, and I can all around all day without worrying about blisters or discomfort. I highly recommend them, and hope they help you with your Docs as much as they have with mine.
