DIME Eyelash Boost Serum Review
Everyone has their “thing” that makes them feel put together, whether it’s jewelry, bright lipstick, or perfume. For me, it’s always been lashes. Mine are naturally stick straight, so once they’re curled with a coat (or three) of good mascara, I feel like me and am ready to take on the day.
I’m no stranger to eyelash serums (see: GrandeLASH-MD Lash Enhancing Serum Review), but the controversial ingredient prostaglandin has kept me from applying one to my eyes on a regular basis, especially since I have sensitive skin and eyes. When I saw that DIME Beauty came out with their own lash serum that was not only prostaglandin-free, but full of amino acids and cleaner ingredients, I knew I wanted to try it out. Some of my lashes are thick, long, and dark, but I am prone to sparse spots that take forever to grow out, and I was excited to see how the Dime Eyelash Boost Serum would perform.
Keep reading for my full review, before and after results over a 90-day span, and tips to make sure you get the most out of this lash serum.

dime eyelash boost serum review
Overall, I have mixed feelings about the Dime Eyelash Boost Serum. When I started using the serum, my main concern (or problem area) were the sparse spots where I had a lot of missing lashes.
After 90 days of using the serum, I didn’t end up with dramatic results. My lashes are thicker and longer in some areas, but it didn’t make the “bald” spots grow any quicker or better. The serum itself stung my eyes most days I applied it; I thought my eyes would acclimate but they did not. On the plus side, the stinging went away quickly and I did not notice any other side effects like dry eyes, irritation, or itchiness that I have with other lash serums.
Dime Eyelash Boost Serum is easy to use, and I like that you can use it twice a day as well as on your lower lash line, too.
Like most lash serums, you really do need to give it at least 60 days to see the results. It may seem discouraging for a while, but is worth sticking with!
I used the product nightly for a full 90 days, and then stopped because I wanted to see if you’d lose all results if you discontinued usage. I lost a few lashes within the first week or two, but I think that’s more on their natural cycle than the absence of the serum.
Overall, I’m glad I took before and after photos throughout the 90 days because it gave me an objective measure of progress. Day to day, I didn’t notice much of a difference so the photos really helped me to see how my lashes actually reacted to the serum. Looking at my photos, it looks like my results peaked around the 60-day mark. I’m not sure why that is, but because I’m still dealing with sparse spots and want to get my eyelashes back to a healthy, full look, I will probably switch back to Grande Lash (or try their sensitive formula) next.
That said, if you are looking for a clean-ingredient eyelash serum that is prostaglandin-free, you may really like Dime Eyelash Boost Serum. It didn’t fix my sparse spots, but made my existing lashes darker, thicker, and a little longer!
pros
Prostaglandin-free
Easy to apply
Can use it twice a day
Peptide-based, clean ingredients
Can use on upper and lower lashes
Can use if you have lash extensions
cons
Stung my eyes when I applied it
Subtle results, not as strong as other formulas
Noticed some lash fallout around the 30-day mark that seemed more than average
tips for applying the dime eyelash boost serum
Apply morning and night to the base of the upper and lower eyelashes.
Apply once a day (or every) other day if a mild tingling sensation occurs.
Note: I did not apply to my lower lashes because the formula stung my eyes.
As the serum gets low, shake the bottle to ensure the product is on the application wand before use.
Continue using the serum to maintain the condition and appearance of your lashes once desired results are achieved.
I stopped using the serum after I hit the 90-day mark, and my lashes haven’t changed much. A few lashes fell out, but that’s due to their natural cycle, not because I stopped the serum. Because the serum didn’t really help with my sparse spots, I’ll probably go back to Grande Lash to assist with regrowth.
FAQs about dime eyelash boost serum
is dime eyelash boost serum prostaglandin free?
Yes!
does dime eyelash boost serum work?
Kind of. I did see some results, but they weren’t as dramatic as I hoped, especially where I had sparse spots.
does dime eyelash boost serum change eye color?
Not in my experience.
does dime eyelash boost serum cause styes?
Not in my experience, and I haven’t heard of anyone getting one.
does dime eyelash boost serum irritate sensitive eyes?
Somewhat. It’s a prostaglandin-free formula and didn’t cause dryness like other lash serums have for me, but this made my eyes sting almost every time I applied it. It went away fairly quickly and didn’t keep me from using it, but worth thinking about if you have sensitive eyes.
how often do you use dime eyelash boost serum?
Use twice a day (morning and night). If you have sensitive skin, you can apply just at night or every other day.
when do you use dime eyelash boost serum?
Apply before your makeup routine in the morning, and before your skincare routine in the evening.
do you apply dime eyelash boost serum before or after your skincare routine?
Apply it on clean, dry skin; make sure you apply it before any moisturizers or eye creams. Because my skin is really sensitive and dry, I personally apply toner before the lash serum and it didn’t affect the serum’s efficacy.
can you apply dime eyelash boost serum to the lower lash line?
I have heard that you can, but my eyes stung more often than not using this serum, so I would not apply to the lower lash line. When you apply the serum before bed (and then sleep), I feel like there’s enough transfer that your lower lashes get a little dose, too.
can you use dime eyelash boost serum with lash extensions?
Yes, you can.
do your eyelashes fall out after you stop using dime eyelash boost serum?
The brand says to continue using the serum for maintenance, but I personally stopped using the product completely after my 90-day mark. I had a few lashes fall out, but I contribute that more to their natural cycle rather than stopping the serum.
is dime eyelash boost serum cruelty free?
Yes, certified with PETA. It’s also vegan.
is dime eyelash boost serum worth the money?
Somewhat. If we are strictly thinking about price, then Dime Eyelash Boost Serum is one of the cheapest lash serums on the market. It’s priced at $48 for 6mL, which breaks down to $8 per mL; comparatively, Grande Lash costs anywhere from $31.25 to $36 per mL depending on the size you order.
When I think about price as well as results, I’d say somewhat. My results weren’t super dramatic, but there was noticeable growth! It’s a gentler formula with clean ingredients, so if that is your priority, then yes, it’s worth it. If you need dramatic results ASAP you won’t love the Dime serum.
where to buy dime eyelash boost serum
You can buy Dime Eyelash Boost Serum from Amazon, Ulta, or directly from the brand’s website.
