DIME Eyelash Boost vs GrandeLASH-MD: Which Lash Serum Is Better?
If you're trying to grow longer, fuller lashes, you've probably come across both DIME Eyelash Boost and GrandeLASH-MD. While both promise healthier-looking lashes, they work very differently.
I’ve used both over the last year, testing each product for 90 days with check-ins at the 30, 60, and 90-day marks. I have naturally longer lashes, but they are stick-straight and I deal with sparse spots, so it’s important to me that a lash serum helps with faster regrowth and makes my lashes stronger and fuller.
One of the key differences between these two lash serums is that GrandeLASH-MD contains prostaglandin, whereas DIME Eyelash Boost is prostaglandin-free, with a peptide-based formula. Some people are sensitive to this ingredient, and while I’m not, I have sensitive eyes (and skin), so it’s not uncommon for me to experience side effects anytime I try a new product.
Below, I compare results, side effects, application tips, ingredients, pricing, and overall performance to share exactly how DIME Eyelash Boost and GrandeLASH-MD, as well as which serum I recommend most!

ingredients
DIME Eyelash Boost is a clean-ingredient lash serum. It focuses on conditioning and strengthening lashes using peptides, amino acids, niacinamide, aloe vera, and hyaluronic acid. I am sensitive to skincare products that contain niacinamide, but was fine using this serum. Most importantly, it is prostaglandin-free and is designed to improve the appearance of lash length and density over time.
On the other hand, GrandeLASH-MD contains prostaglandin, which is irritating for some people. It also has peptides, but the main ingredient to note is that prostaglandin, which is what gives you such dramatic results.
biggest difference: prostaglandins
As I mentioned the GrandeLASH-MD lash serum contains prostaglandin, whereas DIME Eyelash Boost does not, and that is the main deciding factor for most people!
Prostaglandin prolongs the growth phase of the lash cycle, allowing lashes to grow for a longer period before falling out. Unfortunately, some of the side effects include eyelid discoloration, loss of fat around the eyes (making them look more hollow or sunken), iris pigmentation, or itchy, red, dry eyes.
I personally have very sensitive skin and the only side effects I noticed were itchiness and dryness, though it went away after a few weeks. Still, those who have sensitive eyes may prefer Dime Eyelash Boost, though the results are more subtle.
which works faster?
Truthfully, I have done the work and monitored my results with each lash serum at the 30, 60, and 90-day mark and my experience is that it takes 60 days for both serums to really give you noticeable results. You may notice subtle changes after a month, but I recommend allowing for 60 days before you form an opinion.
That said, I will say that my results peaked around the 60-day mark with DIME Eyelash Boost, whereas my lashes continued to grow longer and thicker throughout the full 90 days of using GrandeLASH-MD.
side effects
I have sensitive skin and eyes and experienced a few side effects with each lash serum. Everyone is different, but for me:
Dime Eyelash Boost
Stung my eyes every time I applied it. The stinging went away quickly, but I thought my eyes would eventually acclimate and they never did.
More lash fallout around the 30-day mark
GrandeLASH-MD
Dryness and itchiness for the first 2ish weeks of application, then it went away
Neither lash serum promises to be free of side effects, but the DIME formula is overall gentler with cleaner ingredients. It is more common for people to experience harsher side effects with GrandeLASH-MD, primarily due to prostaglandin.
ease of application
Both serums come with a thin eyeliner-style brush and are easy to apply. The main difference here is frequency of application:
Use DIME Eyelash Boost twice a day (morning and night), unless you experience irritation. In that case, use once a day or every other day.
Apply GrandeLASH-MD once nightly during the initial growth phase, then every other day for maintenance.
price
I love a good price breakdown on my website! Keep in mind that both serums go on sale randomly; I’ve found I can get GrandeLASH-MD on sale at least a few times a year. It also comes in different sizes, which affects the price per mL. Breaking both prices down:
DIME Eyelash Boost costs $48 for a 6mL tube, which breaks down to $8 per mL.
GrandeLASH-MD is $125 for a 4mL tube (said to be a 6-month supply), which ends up being $31.26 per mL.
Keep in mind that while DIME Eyelash Boost is cheaper, you apply it twice a day and will run out quicker. A full tube lasted me at least 90 days, though.
which should you buy?
choose dime eyelash boost if you:
Specifically want a prostaglandin-free lash serum.
Have sensitive eyes.
Are okay with waiting longer for more gradual improvements.
choose grandelash-md if you:
Want the fastest and most noticeable cosmetic lash growth.
Are comfortable using a prostaglandin analogue.
Don't have a history of eye sensitivity.
my recommendation
Overall, it comes down to two key factors: (1) maximum lash growth or (2) avoiding prostaglandin.
If your top priority is maximum lash growth, GrandeLASH-MD absolutely works and within 60 days, makes me look like I have eyelash extensions. The side effects are there, but for me personally, they are minimal and therefore don’t impact my general view of the product.
On the other hand, if you want to avoid prostaglandins while still improving the overall appearance and health of your lashes, Dime is the better choice. The results are subtle, but still noticeable. You also need to wait 60 days to see the maximum results, but it’s worth it. I experienced side effects throughout the 90 days I used the product, but they’re minor and less “scary” than the risks that come with prostaglandin.
Neither serum is objectively "better;” they simply cater to different preferences. For those with sensitive eyes or concerns about prostaglandin, Dime Eyelash Boost offers a compelling alternative. For those seeking faster, more dramatic enhancement, GrandeLASH-MD is genuinely one of the most effective lash serums on the market.
