Best Brunch in Temecula

Temecula may be best known for its wineries, but its brunch scene is just as worth planning a morning around. From cozy Old Town cafés and trendy, aesthetic spots to hearty, classic breakfast spots, there’s no shortage of places to slow down and enjoy a really good meal.

That said, not every brunch in Temecula lives up to the hype. Some spots lean more touristy than memorable, while others are genuinely worth going out of your way for. Whether you’re looking for stacked French toast, a solid eggs benedict, somewhere dog-friendly, or a fun brunch with drinks, these are the best brunch restaurants in Temecula, California that are genuinely worth it.

1909 Temecula - Always crowded, but the hype is real. They’re known for their Bloody Mary’s, which are strong yet flavorful. I’m obsessed with their French toast, but you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. I also love that they have lots of options for breakfast and lunch. Sometimes it seems like a restaurant favors one or the other, but they do both really well. They have misters and shade screens, so the patio doesn’t get too hot in the summer (and allows for lots of people watching). They’re also dog friendly that pups get their own menu. Located in Old Town.

Toast - Another popular option that is beloved by locals and tourists. Their coffees and teas are really good; I recommend Toast anytime someone wants coffee with a full breakfast, rather than a small pastry. Service is quick, and it’s worth the wait. Portions are huge; the chilaquiles and crème brûlée French toast are highly recommended. Located off Temecula Parkway on the way into/ out of the wineries.

EAT Marketplace - The OG farm-to-table spot in Temecula. Whether you’re vegan, gluten-free, or just want something truly organic, this is the best place to go. The parking lot can get crowded, but you can typically find street parking unless it’s a Saturday morning (due to the farmer’s market). Their coffee counter is nice if you don’t want something sit-down, and the pastries are always fresh. (Old Town)

Le Coffee Shop - This French bakery is seed-oil free and has incredible breakfast/ lunch options. Everything is fresh, and their crepes are some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s a smaller space so it usually looks crowded on the patio, but things move quickly and there’s tons of indoor seating. Order at the counter then seat yourself, so it’s a little informal but the food is 10/10. (Old Town)

Corkfire Kitchen - Located on the outskirts of Temecula but connected to Temecula Creek Golf Club (and Inn), this is one of my favorites. The menu is smaller, but they use their on-site garden so the flavor is really fresh and you can taste a difference. There are beautiful views of the golf course, plus a kid’s menu so it’s great for families.

Haven Haus - A newer addition to Old Town, this is quickly becoming a local favorite. Their coffee and mimosa flights are fun, and they have something on the menu for everyone. I highly recommend getting the brunch board, which should feed 3-4 people. It’s the best deal (like $30) and includes all of the brunch staples - waffles, pancakes, French toast, fruit, eggs, bacon, and sausage.

Swing Inn Cafe - If you love small-town charm more than an aesthetic brunch, you’ll enjoy Swing Inn. It’s been around for decades and is a true Temecula staple. I personally prefer their BBQ lunch, but you can get all the breakfast staples with quick, friendly service here. Huge portions, kid-friendly, and fairly priced.

Landeros Mexican Grill + Cantina - Gorgeous ambiance, this is one of the more “aesthetic” restaurants in Old Town Temecula but they can also easily accommodate bigger groups. The portions are generous; I really like the soft taco plate, but you can’t go wrong with any of their burritos or fajitas. They’re family-owned, and really make you feel taken care of when you’re here. Highly recommend.

Penfold's Cafe & Bakery - Hidden gem, but not the most aesthetic-looking. “The Mess” is probably the most popular breakfast dish, but they have all the classics, biscuits and gravy, and South of the Border favorites like huevos rancheros. Go here if you want something hearty, no-fuss, and filling. (Old Town)

Patsy Mae's Cafe - This is a local hole-in-the-wall with standard American breakfast and lunch items, plus tacos, huevos rancheros, and chilaquiles. It’s located in a strip mall across from the Promenade, so it’s probably the least likely to be overcrowded out of all the restaurants I’ve mentioned. You won’t get cute pictures here, but you also won’t leave hungry.
