Erewhon Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie
You guys loved my Erewhon x Marianna Hewitt Coconut Cloud Smoothie recipe, so today I’m breaking down the viral Hailey Bieber Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie. Truth be told, I think Erewhon smoothies are overpriced and overcomplicated; it’s so much easier (and cheaper) to make them at home. The most tedious part of the Hailey Bieber smoothie is making the strawberry glaze, but it also can be served over pancakes, waffles, toast, or a bowl of Greek yogurt, so I aim to make a batch whenever I buy fresh strawberries. Lastly, don’t feel like you have to follow the exact measurements; I feel like the best smoothies are the ones you throw together anyways. You’ll find two versions of the recipe below; one is the Erewhon dupe, including the brands that the store uses. The second is my simpler version, which uses protein powder as a base and less fruit, making it easier (and quicker) to make. Both taste extremely similar, though - the strawberry flavor is the focal point, even if you skip the glaze. No matter which version you follow, I hope you enjoy!
PS: if you end up with leftover glaze, it’s really good on protein pancakes/ waffles.

ingredients
Makes one smoothie
1/4 cup coconut cream; Erewhon uses Zuma Valley but it’s more convenient for me to use Native Forest.
Stick this in the fridge the night before for the best consistency and results.
If you want your smoothie to have a marbled effect in the cup, set aside an extra 1/4 cup.
3/4 cup Malk almond milk (Califa also works)
1 sliced frozen banana
1/2 avocado (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 date, pitted
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1-2 drops sea moss
2 drops vanilla stevia (for sweetness)
1 packet (2tbs) collagen peptides; Erewhon uses Vital Proteins but I prefer Sports Research.
1/2 cup ice (5-6 cubes)
Erewhon uses Driscoll’s Organic Strawberry glaze, but to make it at home, you’ll need:
1 cup fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon maple syrup
Squeeze of a lemon wedge/ splash of lemon juice
2 tablespoons hyaluronic acid
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
to prepare:
First, make the glaze:
Blend your strawberries until they’re fully puréed.
Pour all ingredients except for the vanilla extract in a small saucepan and stir until well combined.
Heat over medium-high heat to a gentle boil, then reduce to low-medium heat until the glaze thickens.
Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
While the glaze is still warm, pour it through a mesh strainer to remove any seeds or larger pieces.
Transfer to a mason jar (or any glass jar).
Set the glaze to the side (or in the fridge) until it cools. For best results, allow it to cool down before making your smoothie.
Next, in a small bowl, use a mixer or hand whisk to whip the coconut cream until it’s light and fluffy, forming light peaks. Set aside.
Combine all the other ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
For the marbled effect, fill the bottom of your cup with the additional 1/4 cup of coconut cream, then drizzle the glaze on the bottom as well as along the sides of the cup.
Then, pour the blended ingredients into the cup and serve immediately; the smoothie will lose its texture if you leave it in the fridge for too long.
And if you want a simpler version of the smoothie that has the same effects but less ingredients (and more protein), here’s my streamlined recipe that I use more often. I don’t precisely measure anything, but it still tastes great (and nearly identical to the OG recipe).

Below is my much more streamlined version, but with added protein. I’m still including the steps to make the glaze, but you can completely omit it to save time. The smoothie will still taste like strawberries, although it may be slightly subtler.
